Grievance Casual appointments

The Union filed a grievance in the spring of 2022 with respect to the College hiring casual employees for multiple contracts at one time, which is in violation of the Collective Agreement.  The Union and the College worked to reach a settlement with respect to the grievance , but there is one particular sticking point that the College will not settle on. We are meeting with a mediator on December 23rd, 2022 to overcome this hurdle.  If it cannot be settled, we will book dates for a formal arbitration hearing.
