COVID-19 Update

March 22, 2020

Dear NSCCAU Members,

As many of you are aware, the Province of Nova Scotia has declared a State of Emergency. Please be assured the Province is acting in our best interest to keep us secure during this time. Emergency measures means that the government will suspend normal procedures in order to regain control of the immediate challenges we face. Although it is a troubling time which may affect our mental and emotional well-being given the stressors of Covid-19, it is best not to panic but react in a common sense, rational manner as stated by Dr. Robert Strang, Nova Scotia Chief Medical Officer.

We have been in contact with College leadership who are meeting this afternoon and they will be sending an update regarding next steps later today. Please check your NSCC email account for further details.

In the interim, please continue to follow all advice from Nova Scotia Public Health. Accurate, up-to date information is available at: https://novascotia.ca/coronavirus/#alertshttps://novascotia.ca/coronavirus, and https://canada.ca/coronavirus.
