Supreme Court Decision - Bill 75

Dear Members,

On June 13, 2022, the Supreme Court of NS struck down Bill 75, the Teachers Professional Agreement and Classroom Improvements (2017) Act.  Bill 75 imposed a contract on public school teachers. 

While faculty and professional support members are not covered in this decision, there could be ramifications with respect to Bill 148, and other decisions made by the McNeil government.

The NSCCAU has requested our legal representative to look at what this court decision could mean for our members.  We will update you when we know more.
