Starting in the 2022/23 academic year, the NSCC is stripping small campuses of the Business Accounting concentration program, leaving the entire South Shore of NS (Lunenburg, Queens, Shelburne, Yarmouth, Digby, and Annapolis), as well as communities served by the Strait campus in Port Hawkesbury and the Cumberland campus in Springhill & Amherst, without a face-to-face accounting program. Students who wish to take accounting must do so online or leave their home communities.
The removal of accounting does not offer equitable opportunities for students.
