Counsellors Spread too thin.

Dear Members,

The NSCCAU recently filed a grievance with respect to the allocation of Student Services Counsellors – Personal and Career across campuses.  The needs of the student population are growing, and we have no Counsellor allocated to eCampus, the second biggest campus.  ECampus is also missing cultural support specialists who help equity seeking students overcome systemic educational barriers.  The understaffing is not just with the college, but with the public system as well (see the article in the link).  Please reach out if your Student Support workload is untenable, especially now that eCampus students are being directed to brick-and-mortar campuses for Counselling and other supports.
