NSCCAU General Meeting

Dear Members,

The NSCCAU General Meeting has been scheduled for Saturday, November 7th at 9:00 am.  Due to the social distancing required by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Union will hold the meeting through Teams, with assurances of privacy.

If you wish to attend the GM, please RSVP by Monday November 2nd to our coordinator, Darla, at nsccaucoordinator@gmail.com using your College email address as this is the address that the Teams invite will be sent to.  If you require a sign language interpreter for the meeting, please indicate this in your RSVP.

Campus Representatives and Executive Members will be attending the meeting in person. If you are interested in attending the General Meeting in person, please email nsccaucoordinator@gmail.com to let her know by November 2nd. In-person attendance is subject to both COVID-19 safety measures and room occupancy.

 Teams Etiquette

Since there may be a large number of members at this meeting, please observe the following rules:

1)     All members will keep their microphones muted.

2)      If a member has a question, they must click the "raise hand" button on Teams.  The chair will inform the speaker of the question.  When the member's name is called, then they may unmute and ask the question.  When the question has been asked and answered, click the "raise hand" button again to remove the hand from your name.

3)    If a member wishes to move or second a motion, the “hand raise” button will be used in a similar fashion to rule 2.

The agenda and reports will be sent out (to your non-NSCC email address) closer to the meeting date. Proposed amendments to the NSCCAU Constitution and Bylaws will also be circulated in advance of the meeting.
